Question by Maggie: Why are there different types of ADHD medicine?
I was wondering why people take different ADHD medicine because my brother has taken different kinds. Are there certain symptoms that they use different ADHD meds for? I know he’s taken Ritalin and Focalin… Why is there a difference?

Because people like to sell different drugs for the same things to get more money. It’s also a great way to divert parents attention to the fact that it’s not working and that the adhd can be taken care of in many non medical ways. So by saying that this pill doesn’t work but this one will is an easy way to have a parent or individual simply say, “okay, that must be it.”
